Ruth Martinuk- Owner and Instructor
I started my career in the United States Army in 1974 as a Military Police Officer and then the Colorado State Patrol in 1980. In the patrol was when I started emergency medicine. I was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in Colorado, Idaho and California which I did for 12 years.
I upgraded to Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic in California and worked for 6 years before joining the Colorado Department of Corrections. As a Security Lieutenant, I taught CPR/First aid classes for the American Red Cross for 8 years within the prison facility.
I moved to Canada in 2006 and started I Res-Q U in 2010. I am the proud mother of Police Sargeant Joshua Herko and his wife Detective Amanda Herko, Deputy Sheriff Lieutenant Jeremy Herko, and Detective Lieutenant Sheyna Marshal and Deputy Field Manager Tegan Brown!
I’M A PROUD MILITARY VETERAN AND A MOTHER OF VETERAN’S!!
I dedicate this website and my company to my grandson, my heart, CHRISTIAN MARSHALL. Born in June 1999 and killed needlessly in May 2006 by a street racer.
Thanks to the first people and first aiders on the scene of the accident, Christian’s brother and sister are alive today because of you! Getting your CPR/First aid is the most important thing you can do and you never know when you will be the one to save a life!!
