(This course can be registered for in Canada or the United States. It will automatically switch to either Canadian or American funds.) This babysitting online course covers all aspects of babysitting from infant to school-age children and how to make it a business. It includes an introduction to first aid, covering choking for children and infants, epi-pens, asthma inhalers, etc., but is not a first aid course. Babysitters are encouraged to obtain a first aid certification to augment the course. They will receive a certificate once the online course is completed. $45 + GST ($47.25)
This course (Located in Airdrie, Alberta) is an 8 hour course that covers all aspects of babysitting from infant to school-age children and how to make it a business. It includes a small amount of first aid covering choking for children and infants, epi-pens, asthma inhalers, etc., but is not a first aid course. Babysitters are encouraged to obtain a first aid certification. They will receive a certificate and card showing they have completed the course. Pre-course homework must be completed before the class. $55 + GST ($57.75)
This is a 3 hour course (Located in Airdrie, Alberta) to give children information about how to stay safe at home. It covers first aid for choking, which is one of the biggest dangers. Wound care, etc., is covered in a limited way. The course covers weather danger, strangers, fire safety, gas leaks, power outages and other information to help the child(ren) to cope with these stressful situations. Parents must go over the information and help the child(ren) to finish homework which will help solidify what they go over in the course. After they finish the homework, they will get two certificates. One for finishing the homework and fire safety. $35 + GST ($36.75)
PARENT/CHILD INTERACTIVE ONLINE HOME ALONE COURSE
The parent/child interactive home alone course offers families a comprehensive and engaging opportunity to equip children with essential skills for staying safe when unsupervised. Through interactive activities and discussions, parents and children learn together about home safety, emergency procedures, and decision-making skills. The course provides practical tips on fire safety, first aid basics, stranger awareness, and how to handle unexpected situations. By fostering open communication and empowering children with knowledge, families can feel more confident and prepared when their children are home alone.
This course (Located in Airdrie, Alberta) covers how to check a person to see if they are breathing. When to call 911. They practice clearing a choking person’s airway if they are awake and unconscious. How to control bleeding and bandaging, including bandaging an impaled object. What shock is and how to treat it. Poisons and calling poison control. How to use an epi pen or Auvi-Q for allergic reactions. Asthma inhalers and spacers. Broken bones and what to do. Burns, as well as prevention. Nose bleeds and knocked out teeth. This is not a certified course. They will receive a certificate for finishing the class. $45 + GST ($47.25)
