The course typically covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques for adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions and rescue breathing. Additionally, participants are trained in the proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), a device crucial for restoring normal heart rhythm in cases of sudden cardiac arrest. Through hands-on practice and simulated scenarios, participants gain confidence and competence in recognizing cardiac arrest, performing CPR effectively, and using an AED safely. By the end of the class, individuals are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to intervene swiftly and decisively, potentially saving lives in emergency situations.
Students must complete the online course before the skills date that was chosen.
